We are high on Fashion...!!!

People all around the world love experimenting with one thing or the other. Creating new stuff and bringing out new innovations is a part of their life. These innovations eventually become a trend. Be it a DIY(Do-It-Yourself) or a fashion statement. Fashion is a highly popular industry. It is a visual treat on a variety of styles, like styling with clothes, makeup, jewelry, accessories, hairdo, etc. This styling is done to look and feel good. A solid fashion statement gives a soothing bliss to your mind and body. It changes your body language, your behavior, your talking style, your vision and most of all, your lifestyle. The best thing about fashion is that it is not just bound to an affluent class of people. From the elite group to the middle class, everyone is into fashion. They need to leave home feeling confident concerning the way they look. It is basically about cuts and colors. A proper cut and a perfect play with a palette of shades...Viola, its a trend!!

Women, especially, love being fashionable. 'Fashion is life' for most of them. From parties to cocktails to weddings to airports, from traditional passed down through generations or trendy ones that make a solid statement, they pop every look. Instead, they have many options to choose from. Zara, Gucci, Calvin Klein, Sephora, H&M, Giorgio Armaani, and Dior are some of the famous fashion stores. Since there are a variety of fashion ensembles for women as compared to men, they experiment styling in an ample amount of ways, which they call "New Fashion". 

A normal scarf can be worn in gazillion ways with different outfits. A simple saree can be draped in multiple ways with a variety of designer blouses such as backless, bralettes, high-collar, full-sleeved, boat neck and many more that are trending or yet to come in the fashion market. White shirt and blue jeans never go out of fashion. And that is why people started innovating new looks with them, most of which can be seen in airports. Airport looks are a new fashion trend, initiated by movie stars now followed by every layman. Casual wear in  airport by a celebrity leaves the world gasping and creates a buzz among fashion freaks. Eventually, it becomes a fashion statement. 

Fashion is not confined to clothing, neither it is bound to a place or a particular period of time. Fashion is needed everywhere. Promotional events, Red carpet events, Festive dinners, Destination weddings, Casual get-together or vacations, fashion has its own place. Who doesn't want to get into the category of 'OOTD (Outfit Of The Day)?? '

We love to carry a suitcase full of glamour and style. We want to look our best and certainly, feel so. Nowadays, people are nailing their seasonal outfits. Summer strips, monsoon style, winter outfits, Floral Springs.. Unfortunately, the list of seasons on the earth is limited, else the fashion could have gone far beyond! Well, as told earlier, experimenting is our hobby and we experiment with new looks and trends in the fashion game.

An ethnic fashion or a street style becomes perfecto if paired with a statement accessory, an apt makeup, and a proper hairdo. Well, little does everybody know that a minimal makeup itself requires a lot of makeup. Ever heard about a No make-up look? That needs make-up too!! Fashion has a quirky take on every trend and color. Smokey eyes, Glittery eyes, Pinky cheeks, Nude lips, and Glowy look. People have even learned to fake flawless skin with several beauty tricks.

Colors and styles are not just meant for clothes and makeup. Playing with hair is another point in the stylebook. A glam look requires a perfect hairstyle. High or low bun, messy or tight, blown out or sleeky, high ponytail or low ponytail, fishtail or braids..there are many types of hairstyles to go with every outfit. Looking at the infinite fashion innovations, Fashion Design Council of India(FDCI) came up with various fashion events to quench the thirst of fashion maniacs with latest style of clothing, hair and decoration. Here are the list of few of the popular fashion events.

LAKME Fashion Week   -   Lakme Fashion Week is a bi-annual event. It is held twice in a year, showcasing Summer styles in the month of February and Winter style in the month of August. LFW is organised by Fashion Design Council of India and sponsored by Lakme. It is the most popular Indian Fashion Event. Famous celebrities walk down the ramp wearing different collections by popular Indian designers such as Manish Malhotra, Sabyasachi, Sandeep Khosla, Neeta Lulla etc. Thier unique creation is exhibited at national level.

India Bridal Fashion Week   -  The name itself speaks everything. Wedding, nowadays, has become a lifestyle statement for affluent class. They are ready to spend fortune to make it extravagant. From wedding shoots to various ceremonies, people leave no stone unturned to style on different creations. IBFW shows the best available trends and designs in bridal couture by leading designers. Like Lakme Fashion Week, India Bridal Fashion Week is also a bi-annual event, held twice a year. This event is sponsored by Amby Valley.

Van Heusen India Men's Week   -  Fashion is not only for lovely ladies, it is a gentleman's game as well. Van Heusen India Men's Week is a male-oriented fashion show, focusing only on men's fashion. It showcases best in Menswear including clothes, hairstyle, footwears, belts, jewellery, watches, eyewears, neckties and other accesories. This event is organised by FDCI and sponsored by famous menswear brand Van Heusen.

Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week   -   This event is quite similar to Lakme Fashion Week event. They showcase seasonal collections in two different shows at different time of the year. Event organised in the month of March exhibit Autumn-Winter collection, and event held in the month of October introduces Spring-Summer collections. It is run by FDCI and sponsored by Wills Lifestyle.

These are some of the notable Fashion events of India. These shows offer great opportunities to the budding designers and gush out the beauty and brilliance of various fashion innovations. Whether overdressed or underdressed, they still influence the world with their stunning style.
