Essentials for your travel bag

Traveling is an exciting and uplifting experience that takes us out of our comfort zone. However, packing, planning and preparing for it is a reality check on our laziness. The proper packing for a journey is a skill that takes time to be perfect. It doesn't matter how many bags you pack for a small or big vacation, it’s what's inside that counts. We all need to know the basic travel essentials that could make traveling easier, more comfortable, more efficient, or cheaper.

Important travel documents
Always carry a copy of your travel documents - Passport, Visa, Forex, Tickets, Reservation copies, Travel insurance, Credit cards, ID proof, etc. It’s better to put them in a pocket of your backpack and have them ready whenever required.

Portable charger
We all know the feeling when our phone runs out of battery, and constant connectivity to your cellphone or laptop is essential. Carry portable battery packs when you travel. When power availability will be an issue, a good portable charger is a must-pack to help fill the power gap while traveling.

Headphones
Never board a plane, a train, a bus or a car without headphones. Headphones are usually an essential item when you travel. Whether you are at home or on the go, listening to good music takes away the boredom from your daily ordinary life. To binge-watch movies, or take a nap without having to listen to the passengers around you, you need a nice pair of travel-friendly headphones with noise cancellation feature.

Eye mask and Earplugs
Whether on the road or in a noisy place, you require a much-needed shut-eye with an eye mask that will help you fall fast asleep. An eye mask and earplugs are a perfect accessory for travelers who appreciate a little peace, wherever they may be. These help to block out light and noise when you’re trying to sleep. They are inexpensive and easy to carry.

Band-aid and medicines
Every backpacker should carry a first aid kit - you never know when you'll need it. Any medication that you'll need during your travels is the most important item to pack. Always keep band-aids and painkillers handy in case you need some, for instance, headaches, muscle aches, period pains, stomach pain, etc.

Chapstick and lotion
If you are traveling to a chilly location or a hot area, the heat and cold can dry out your skin. Even your lips can be damaged by the sun just as your skin can. You’re gonna end up with chapped lips and thirsty, parched skin. Carry some good quality chapsticks and lotions everywhere you go and use them frequently.

Hat or Scarf
Safety should be a key consideration no matter where you travel. Carry a hat or scarf to keep you shaded from the sun. They can handle sweat and protect your head, face, and neck from the sharp sun. You can also wear them on bad hair days, they look awesome.

Sunglasses
One of the accessories that we usually bring on all trips is a pair of sunglasses. Good sunglasses protect from ultraviolet rays in sunlight. They also work better in specific situations, such as protection from intense light and eliminating specific frequencies of light. Take an extra pair of sunglasses to serve as a replacement just in case yours accidentally break during your trip.

Wet wipes/Hand Sanitizer
When you're traveling or visiting someplace or any situation when you want to eat something but have no access to water and soap, a wet wipe or sanitizer comes to your rescue. Hand sanitizers are an alternative when soap and water are not available. They are meant to kill germs and prevent their transmission. They make your hand smell good and fit perfectly in your purse or handbag.

Deodorant
Often travel is associated with a lot of stress, long days and little opportunity for personal hygiene, and deodorant can work wonders. It can get extremely warm in some places, where deodorant can be a little helper against sweat attacks.
