Ride through the tunnel that connects Jaipur to Agra
Passing through the Jhalana hills, Ghat ki Guni tunnel is the tunnel that connects Jaipur to Agra. The tunnel is one of its kinds in the state and adds to the heritage of the city. The tunnel has Havelis on both sides which makes it a beautiful driving experience through the tunnel. There are sensors installed in the tunnel to keep it pollution-free. Fans will automatically start if gases such as carbon monoxide increase in the tunnel. Since it is accident-prone, it is better to drive slow while enjoying the beauty around.
Visit the Galta Temple: The monkey temple
Galta Ji is a large Hindu temple that lies 10km to the east of Jaipur. This temple is a popular tourist attraction as it is home to a large population of monkeys and this has given rise to the common name, the monkey temple. The temple is centered around seven large pools. In these pools, pilgrims come to bath away their sins while the playful monkeys can be found swimming in the holy waters. Galta Ji complex is surrounded by hills, giving the temple an exotic look.
Experience the Chand Baori: An ancient stepwell of India
Also known as Panna Meena ka Kund, Chand Baori is the oldest living stepwell of India with over 3,500 narrow steps in 13 storeys structure arranged in perfect triangular symmetry. The kund is right in the center of the structure. The stepwell was built to conserve rainwater in this dry region of the state. The waters remain cooler due to the stepwell's depth. Chand Baori gives tourists a mesmerizing experience with a little dizziness while looking down in the stepwell.
Chand Baori has been used as a filming location for films such as Bhoomi and BhoolBhulaiyaa.
Jal Mahal: The abandoned palace submerged in the water
Situated in the center of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur, the Jal Mahal Palace is a 5-storey architectural beauty made of red stone. The 5th floor is the only visible part and remaining is underwater. The fort gives you a sense of royal touch of Rajput and Mughal.
Jal Mahal is an admirable palace providing a charming view with its reflection in the Man Sagar Lake, especially in the night time.

Admire the Royal Chhatrees of Gaitore
Located on the Jaipur-Amer Road about 5 km in the outskirts of Jaipur, Gaitore is the Royal Cremation site for the past princes and rulers of the Kachwaha clan who are better known as the Royal Family of Jaipur. A perfect blending of Islamic and Hindu temple architecture, the valley has memorials (chhatri) made of marble and sandstone with Rajasthani carvings, dedicated to legendary kings who ruled Jaipur. It is said that the carvings on each memorial reflect the taste of the respective king.
Gaitore, the final resting place of the Kachhwaha Rajput rulers, takes us back to the splendid royal heritage of the kings of Jaipur.

In the vast rainbow of Rajasthani Art and Heritage, the need for nurturing art and artists brought the establishment of an international art and culture center in Jaipur, popularly known as JKK. This international institution focuses on the preservation and promotion of the various genres of Indian art and culture. JKK celebrates art in all its hues, contrasts and richness.
The institution’s enormous and uniquely structured building was designed by the renowned Indian architect of international fame -Charles Correa. The architecture of JKK is based on the concept of Indian astrology and resembles the square-grid plan of Jaipur city. The main building contains an administrative block, an ethnographic museum, temporary exhibition galleries, open-air theatre, air-conditioned theatre, an arena, library, dormitories, and coffee house.
